Anyone having a problem deleting myspace account and profile?

HI everyone,
I am curious is anyone else having a problem deleting profile from myspace?
I have sent in 15 or so requests to do so and I go through the proper deletion process and I confirm the notice in my e-mail
and I get the notice once I confirm to delete that say your profile is scheduled to be deleted and may take 48 hours to do so.
Before when you get the email notice to delete your profile you'd e click the link and sign in and then cant sign on anymore.
Now its been nearly a month and I am still able to send messages and log in.
Can someone tell me what might be going on?

Hi everyone, is anyone on here an expert or know an expert that can verify how hard it has been to delete myspace? I have already sent Customer Service a request. My brother had a court order to get off of myspace and because it is not letting him, he could be in serious trouble. He has until this Friday to prove how hard it has been to delete. I see others have frustrations as well. If anyone knows what I should do to prove how hard it is, and is a tech expert, please let me know. Thank you so much. I really am in dire need.

I would tell him in the mean time while trying to delete it to go in and remove all of the pics, blogs and any profile info that he has - strip it down bare. I would think that would atleast show the courts that he made a effort.
In the past when I deleted one it was done right away. When you said you sent customer service a request did you also delete it on the profile? If not then you need to log in on the profile:
go to "account settings"
"account"
scroll down to the bottom and you will see the words "cancel account" click on that and it will let you cancel it that way.
When I did it that way it was cancelled right away.

My brother had a court order to get off of myspace
had or has a court order? if it is an active order, usually issued to sex offenders, he should take screen shots of his request to delete the account and save those. also perhaps he can scan and email, or mail a copy of the court order to the myspace hq and request the account be closed.

I don't know if this is correct but Myspace did email my friend to say that deletions of profiles were corrupt and they are working on it. Not much help when you want to go away but there you are. I'd send them an email to the contact on site - under problem with site - they do respond quickly and can advise you.

That is quite strange. I wish I could tell you what's going on, but I really have no clue. When I deleted my old account it was only a matter of minutes before the process began. It took a few months for my name to be removed from the search results though, but that's about it. I never bothered to check if I could still sign in and receive messages. Is the profile itself gone? Maybe it just takes a while for it all to be deleted out of the system. Sorry, I'm not much help.

Thanks for the info but no my profile is still there. Its odd because I never had a problem deleting my old one. I am still able to log on even after 20 requests to have it deleted and confirming the email process. Something else thats odd. Tom as you know is one of the first friends when you sign up. When I hit his picture to view profile when his page loads up it says friend id 6221.
When I use the URL myspace.com/6221 its someone else's profile. A person who signed up 2 months ago.
