About Myspace's "Profile Views" counter?

Hey all, I was reading in the forums here and saw some discussion about whether myspace's view counter actually counts EVERY single hit your page gets. I watch mine very carefully and was just wondering...DOES IT? Or does it only count unique hits (one person only shows up once a day no matter how many times a day they click)? Very curious to find out...thanks!

Trackers are pretty neat, i mean, if someone you dont like views your profile, and you know who that the IP is theres, then you can mess with them, and get them to leve you alone, now im not saying try this, but it worked with me and an ex gf who would not leave me alone very well

The only stupid question is the one that remains unasked

mine has been bizarre lately too. I think one of my "friends" has a tracker because when I visit their page MY profile "views" goes up by the number of visits to their page. Trackers are lousy.

The trackers have nothing to do with your profile hits and will not increase it.  As for the trackers being lousy - I don't think so.

It sure has been acting funny lately. Aaargh! Do you know whether it's usually pretty accurate when it IS working properly? Like tracking every hit, or just hits from unique visitors? Thanks, you guys are great!!! Smiling

I think the profile counter on the home page has been acting funny.  If you are really interested in a counter you can add one to your myspace - there is many different ones.  I did a thread a while back about them:

How many hits do you really get on myspace?
