Overall grade/comments: Love it!
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ5 one of their higher-end 6X-zoom cameras; it has 6-megapixel resolution and costs about $50 more than the next lower 5-megapixel model, the Lumix DMC-LZ3. The DMC-LZ5S has a Leica lens, image stabilization, and lots of ways to control image capture, but no manual exposure controls - a feature that only a professional would be interested in. The DMC-LZ5 takes pretty good photos in bright/outdoor light, but not the greatest quality photos in indoor or low-light environments.
Ease of use: After reading thru the manual I was taking pictures and downloading them to my PC in minutes!
Design: Compact but not "tiny", 2.5-inch LCD on the rear with good resolution and easy to use buttons
Photo quality: Great looking photos! Far better than my older 4.5-megapixal Canon camera.
Overall: I love this camera, a good deal for the price
