I installed Firefox, Add-Block, and the tracking list . . . It showed 159 hits on mixmap, 10 hits on extreme-dm, and 20 hits on statcounter . . . Please explain why? I haven't logged into MySpace yet with Firefox.

ABP (AdBlockPlus) isn't specific to myspace or myspace trackers. It blocks more than just trackers, too. There are trackers, stat counters, visitor counters on lots of of websites - including some I've found embedded in the seller's own code on eBay! But trackers are all over the internet.
So you'll be blocked from being tracked on any site with ABP. Not just myspace.

Hits are the number of times an item was blocked by the filter in question. An item can be any kind of file, not just trackers. For example, if you visit the trackspace.net website you'll block all the images, scripts and whatnot on that site because the filter blocks all their urls. But if you don't visit any tracker websites then the # of hits will reflect the times you blocked a tracker.
